Science

The content area of the Science curriculum develops students’ understanding of relevant scientific concepts and ideas. Besides, the importance of scientific knowledge towards scientific and technological developments and their implications to society and the environment is also highlighted in the curriculum to cover the strand of Science, Technology, Society and Environment. It also provides contexts for enhancing students’ awareness of the relationship of science with other STEM related disciplines. The strand of Scientific Investigation facilitates students’ understanding of the nature of science and acquisition of science process skills. The study of the nature of science could increase students’ interests, enhance their understanding of scientific knowledge, and facilitate them to make informed decisions about science-related issues in their daily life.

S2 Science Exhibition 21-22

S.2 Science Fair was held on 27 July, at which all the S.2 students gathered in the school hall and classrooms to present their self-initiated science projects to their fellow schoolmates, teachers, parents, and the public.

Through this exhibition, students had a chance to put what they had learned in the science textbook into real-life practice. To finish the project, each group of students had chosen and analyzed a scientific occurrence with an investigation involving research, observation, and experimentation. And eventually, they demonstrated the results to the visitors at the fair.

Thanks to the efforts of the S.2 students and the support from parents, teachers, seniors, and juniors, this event was a great success.
