For the F.2 English activity, we invited the amazing Mr.Zohab Khan, who is not only a slam poet but a hip hop musician and educator to give a performance and a talk. He shared about his struggles on trying again and again for his dream of winning the Australian slam poetry competition. After many years of failure, he finally won the title of champion in the competition. He performed some of his most famous poems as well as displaying his freestyle raps and musical abilities in playing the harmonica while beatboxing and didjeridoo, an Australian Aboriginal musical instrument. GP students were left starstuck, asking Zohab for advice for budding poets and following him on his Instagram. He shared tales of overcoming challenges, hate, racial prejudice and following your passion.
