The Creative Infographic Design Competition on Applications of Mathematics for Primary and Secondary Schools is organised by the Curriculum Development Institute, EDB. The aims of the Competition are to promote students’ interest in learning mathematics and enhance their awareness of the applications of mathematics in different aspects in real life. The competition encourages students to design infographics which incorporate the elements of graphs, diagrams, text and mathematical expressions in creative ways to express the real-life applications of mathematics effectively and clearly. The theme of last year’s competition was “Mathematics in Architecture Demonstrating Mathematics in the Context of Architecture”.
Only 8 secondary schools in Hong Kong received the highest award of Bronze and Keya 6IB is one of them. Charas 6IB and Sumiko 6IB received Honorable Mention Award among 23 secondary schools.
