The curriculum comprises three themes, enabling students to have a more coherent understanding of the situations of society, the country and the contemporary world. The theme of “Hong Kong under ‘One Country, Two Systems’” mainly helps students understand “one country, two systems”, the constitutional basis founded upon the Constitution and the Basic Law, for cultivating a sense of national identity. “Our Country since Reform and Opening-up” mentions the development process of the country through domestic and international aspects. “Interconnectedness and Interdependence of the Contemporary World” addresses the topics of economy, technology, sustainable development and public health, widening students’ horizons in the modern world.
