"Ms. Lorraine Wong developed an early interest in educating and nurturing people due to the enlightenment from the experiences in secondary school. Teachers there were considerate and caring. With this supportive learning environment, Ms. Wong was inspired and got a motivation to contribute and share loves with people in need. Therefore, she decided to take up courses related to education and society. In 2018, she received her two degrees in Education and Social Science, with Liberal Studies and Psychology majors respectively with high honors (She also received a degree with Korean Studies minor) in the University of Hong Kong. After graduation, Ms. Wong started to work in this school. She is currently teaching Citizenship and Hospitality Studies and Tourism and Hospitality Studies, and as the panel head of Tourism and Hospitality Studies and head of life planning committee.
She endeavors to create a classroom where students can feel support and encouragement. On top of academics, Ms. Wong cares more on teaching students learn how to learn. She believes strongly that with self-reflections, students can gain a deeper understanding of who they are as learners, and obtain essential elements for developing them as lifelong learners. Upholding a belief of life interaction, Ms. Wong’s classrooms are not a solely knowledge transmitting places, what is more is the education on students’ value. Attitudes affect altitude. She believes teachers are the light to guide students to pursue the right direction."
