YAP PAOLO JOHN ANICETO SY

Mr. Paolo has worked with the Delia Group of Schools for more than a decade. Prior to moving to Hong Kong, he graduated Salutatorian from International School Manila, Philippines, where he scored 45 (out of 45) points for his IB Diploma. He then received a full scholarship to study at Harvard University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the History of Art and Architecture and a Certificate in Latin American Studies. He has also since completed with Distinction the Postgraduate Diploma of Education in English Language Education at the University of Hong Kong and pursued a Master of Education in School Leadership at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education. Mr. Paolo is forever grateful to all those who have been instrumental in his education throughout these years.
As an educator, Mr. Paolo believes in the importance of honoring and celebrating his students' identities, backgrounds, talents, and interests. As part of his efforts to provide an equity-based education for Glee Path students, he worked an incredible team of like-minded Glee Path educators to bring the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program into Glee Path, with an equity-based model that he hopes can serve as an inspiration to other schools in Hong Kong and beyond.
