Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) is an interdisciplinary subject area that is a key focus at our school. In STEAM classes, students have the opportunity to engage in hands-on, project-based learning that combines concepts from multiple academic disciplines. Students work collaboratively in teams to design, build, and test projects that integrate their knowledge and skills to solve real world problems and challenges. The purpose of implementing STEAM education in our school is to equip our students with the knowledge and skills to meet the changes and challenges in the society with the rapid development of scientific and technological developments, as well as to foster innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in the 21st century.
Our STEAM students also participate in local, national, and global competitions that allow them to apply their interdisciplinary knowledge and skills to make a positive impact. This project-based, collaborative STEAM curriculum prepares our students for further studies and success in a wide range of STEAM-related careers.
Laser cutter
Students learn how to design the product using Adobe AI and use laser cutter to cut the product out. They are going to further process it by using the engineering skills learnt in the STEM lessons to create a memo pad holder which are used within our school. Students are required to apply the knowledge and skills from different learning areas, such as Mathematics, Computer and Engineering part in the STEM lesson.

Lego EV3 Programming
Students learn how to use Lego EV3 and sensors to create different robots for daily use and competition. Sumo robots were created to remove obstacle based on the program set and sensors installed in the robot; a delivering thread to deliver the marble based on the program set to control the motors. The machine was a part of the exhibition in the marble run exhibition in the Learning and Teaching Expo 2019.
